Infrared
thermal imaging
inspections
Level II thermographers find overheating connections, failing bearings, hidden heating faults and missing insulation without touching the equipment. Halifax and Calgary offices, serving sites across Canada.

What we scan
Four ways we use infrared and ultrasound to see what a walk-through cannot.

Electrical systems
Panels, MCCs, disconnects, transformers and bus, scanned under normal load.

Mechanical systems
Motors, pumps, bearings, heat trace, tank levels and insulation.
Learn more→
Ultrasound
Partial discharge, bearing lubrication and compressed-air leaks, heard before they fail.
Learn more→
Acoustic imaging
Pinpoint air, gas and electrical leakage across a whole room in one image.

Each kind of infrared inspection needs the right conditions
Infrared thermography measures surface temperature, so the equipment or building has to be in the state that reveals the problem. We confirm these conditions when we scope your inspection.
Electrical systems
Equipment energized and carrying its normal working load, with safe access to enclosures agreed before the visit.
Electrical infrared inspections →Mechanical equipment
Motors, pumps, bearings and drives running at normal operating temperature. Ultrasound and vibration readings add detail where heat alone is not enough.
Mechanical inspections →Heating, insulation and moisture
A clear temperature difference between inside and outside, so building scans are usually booked in the heating season. Heat trace and in-floor heating need to be running.

See what our thermographers see
Real radiometric images from our FLIR cameras: every pixel is a measured temperature. Touch or hover to read temperatures, tap two points to compare them, and see how the finding is graded.
Where infrared pays off
Electrical systems
Loose connections, overloaded circuits and failing breakers all heat up before they fail. We find them under load, grade them and hand you the repair list.
Concealed heating
In-floor heating lines, electric heat trace and insulated piping show their layout and their cold spots in infrared, without opening a wall or a floor.
Insulation and moisture
Missing insulation, air leaks and moisture behind finishes all leave a thermal signature. Useful before and after a renovation, and before a roof or envelope claim.

What you receive
See a sample inspection report
Our sample shows the reporting available to your electricians, insurer and management: a Certificate of Electrical Compliance, colour-coded severity, repair recommendations with photos, an asset inventory, and year-over-year trending. This is a complete sample with demo client data.
Infrared inspection questions
Is thermal imaging the same as infrared thermography?
The camera is the same; thermography is the measurement and interpretation. A Level II thermographer accounts for load, emissivity, reflections and the equipment’s history before grading a finding, which is what makes the report useful to your electrician or insurer.
What can infrared not see?
It reads surface temperature only. It cannot see through closed panels, walls or glass, and it does not test functions such as breaker trip timing. The report notes anything that could not be inspected, and we recommend the right test where one is needed.
