WHERE WE COME FROM
Dynamic Thermal Imaging Inc. was founded in 2021 in Halifax, Nova Scotia by Patrick Miller after discovering the thermal imaging technology and how it applies to electrical equipment preservation and worker inspection safety. It didn't take long before Dynamic Thermal Imaging was performing inspections all across the Canada for a multitude of customers! The growing team has a wealth of knowledge in electrical inspections, preventative maintenance, and protective relay testing. Dynamic Thermal Imaging embraces innovation in technology to the highest standard to find better ways to improve operational efficiencies and safety to its customers.
WHAT WE DO
Dynamic Thermal Imaging offers infrared thermography inspections in the commercial, institutional, industrial, and manufacturing industry, performing in-depth inspections on electrical infrastructure.
Our DTI Technical Services division performs electrical preventative maintenance and protective relay testing on essential electrical equipment that keeps our world turning behind the scenes. With a plethora of electrical testing equipment, DTI Technical Services performes de-energized electrical maintenance, protective relay testing, low and high insulation resistance testing, medium voltage testing, and transformer and motor diagnostics.
With over 25 years of experience, the DTI team intimately knows electrical systems in-and-out. Our technicians dive deep into your electrical assets to provide thorough thermal imaging and electrical inspections. With a long history of electrical preventative maintenance, our comprehension of electrical systems tremendously contribute in analyzing thermograms and electrical behaviour in virtually all electrical equipment.
Our field technicians are certified Level 2 Thermographers, Professional Electrical Engineers, and Red Seal Electricians. With this wealth of expertise and electrical diversity, Dynamic Thermal Imaging has been long touted as the thermography experts in the industry. The Dynamic Thermal Imaging team can assess, diagnose AND repair electrical equipment as one complete package.
Our certified thermographers quickly and non-destructively pinpoint electrical and mechanical problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye, such as loose connections, faulty breakers, disconnects, overloaded circuits, imbalanced loads, weak motor windings and bearings, and much more.
In addition to thermal imaging inspections of electrical equipment, our team also performs inspections on a variety of equipment that emits heat radiation such as:
- In-floor radiant heat
- Electric heat trace
- Mechanical systems; motors, misalignment, bearings and conveyors
- Fluid Systems; line blockages, tank levels and pipe temperatures

Patrick Miller, Thermographer - Halifax, Nova Scotia
Patrick comes equipped with a wealth of knowledge in the electrical industry working over 15 years as a construction and maintenance electrician. Although Patrick started his career in New Brunswick, he quickly progressed his career working 11 years in Alberta managing projects and facilities. Patrick naturally progressed in his career to Operations and Estimating Manager positions for other successful contracting companies, and his expert knowledge and drive for success has led him to recently craft and create Dynamic Thermal Imaging out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which has grown to a company servicing clients all over Canada.

Mark Pehlke, Journeyman Electrician - Halifax, Nova Scotia
You won't find a harder working electrician on the East Coast of Canada. Dedication, determination, and grit has Mark willing to stop at nothing to find the answer and to satisfy our customers. Mark is a very well-rounded Journeyman Electrician with substantial expertise in petroleum and hazardous area installations, commercial shut-downs and preventative maintenance, and residential building codes in Nova Scotia . Mark has paved his way to success by his pure dedication to pleasing his customers, continued learning, and his motivation to out-perform.
Although Mark is one of the busiest people I know, he continues to pour in his support and dedication to the Dynamic Thermal Imaging business and their customers.

This guy is smart. Not because he has all the answers already, but because he is willing to stop at nothing to find the answer. Andrew is an experienced Journeyman Electrician with substantial expertise in electrical distribution and building control systems. Andrew has paved his way to success by dedicating himself to his trade and soaking up any information thrown his way to make him more experienced in his profession.
Andrew is a family-man with three young children. He enjoys taking family trips, working on his property and finding ways to learn new things. He is an integral part of the Thermal Imaging team and we are proud to have him here!

Mike Taylor - Calgary, Alberta
Mike started his education in the Civil Engineering sector, but soon recognized his passion and strengths working as a Journeyman Electrician in Calgary, Alberta. Mike is an important part of Dynamic TI's Western Division where he brings expertise in commercial electrical distribution systems, industrial mechanical systems, and commercial energy performnce & efficiency.
You might catch Mike on the golf course, fishing on the Bow River, or maybe not at all because he leads a busy family and work life!
Mike is an essential part of the Dynamic Thermal Imaging team and we (and our clients) are very happy to have him work for us!
